The E-Trac 6 "T" Manual Frog Switch is a rugged unit with a full frog throw of 5/8 in. Carrier movement through the switch is smooth and unhampered due to the die-formed frog plate, which ensures a precise line-to-line fit of the matching parts and eliminates the wide track gaps present in most designs.
The switch includes two 12 in. radius × 90° curves for carriers with a wheelbase of 12 in. or less. For carriers with a longer wheelbase, or where the angle is less than 90°, Universal Radius Frog Switches are recommended.
This three-way switch must be manually shifted from one position to another, typically using a suitable actuator that engages the hole in the bottom of the frog plate. The “T” Manual Frog Switch provides the means of moving a carrier left, right, or across in a “T” configuration, rather than the left, right, or straight configuration offered by universal switches.
